Coilis pretty much overkill in early stages. Swarm works quite well than Coil as well.

When I still used DL first *glares at Rage* the sad thing was its main purpose to heal with Vampiric Aura. However, in the early stages IT SUCKS 'cos the healing is so low and it would be better to use Coil in that case. Plus, the DL sucks at attacking.
