a good url for people to remember? how about blizzard.com? or what about battle.net? they already have "Good websites for people to remember"
the only true logical reason to obtain a website named after a sequel they have no connection with, is because they plan to have a connection with it. Buying it just to buy it? i dont think so. This is a buiseness, everything a business does is strategic
