Hmm, I wouldn't say he was the reason Germany failed, I'd say his army getting the **** kicked out of it was the main reason why Germany failed. US and UK bombed his industry into the ground and defeated most of the Luftwaffe, Soviet Union destroyed the dominating majority of his ground forces. Hitler rose to power because of the desperate situation in post-WWI Germany, people don't like getting spanked, especially by the French.
