There really isn't a "best" game
there are genres who each have their gems, and there are other games that blend genres. Also depends on platform, is it a PC game? A game for the Nintendo Wii or the Xbox 360? Also it is personal preference, some people who can't play real video games think Halo is the $hit, and my preference would be there hasn't been a really good game released in a couple years.
So fill in a bit of information, specificly platform, and what other types of games (role play, first person, strategy, Sim, racing etc.) to give a far more acurate response
