Humans will probably achieve faster space travel, but would it matter? Human exploration of anything in our solar system other than Mars would require the speed of light. Even the human exploration of Mars would take 9 months of space travel. And of course the problem with the speed of light is how? Thats also pretty fast, I don't think our bodies/space craft could handle 299,792,458 metres per second.
