| I've never been a global warming fanatic, however my a good reason for wanting to take care of the environment is that no one can deny that all the stuff we're putting in the air is good for us (smog ftw). Plus there's always the national security and economic reasons why it's practical to move away from oil (minus coal for this line of thinking).
On a bright note, there was also the first request to have a nuclear power plant constructed in the USA for the first time in a very long time and expectations is that it will be a growing trend.
