| I don't quite understand this thread (welcome to bf by the way!)..but I don't think it belongs here. I'm going to move this to the Tech section, maybe you'll get some help there.
On topic..Do you have a router for any reason? If so..did you check its settings? Perhaps you need to forward port 8085 so people can connect? Also, you may need to disable/configure firewalls if you have any running.
