| If you don't have very many skill points, putting points into lightning without having all the synergies/mastery maxed with it will be a waste, you'll probably do 1-1k or so, which is pretty shitty. With only 24-30 points alloted, it won't be worth it to use fire or lightning. My pure lightning sorc is finally fully built@ 95 using 105 skill points.
Your best bet is doing lightning storm/lightning mastery imo. That way it is just giving you some more damage to add to the damage your frozen orb does, instead of a whole new skill that will probably be pretty weak.
