| Thaltos moved swiftly and silently through the trees, moving with all the stealth that the Gods' chief assassin should possess. Sensing a minute commotion ahead, and hearing a hushed voice, Thaltos slowed. He moved up into the trees, moving through the treetops to remain unseen in the event of a vigilant attacker.
Thaltos continued to move through the branches until he came upon the shadowed form of Asakai pinned to the ground beneath an unidentifiable figure. The darkness was too thick for him to make out the features of the person, or if it was even human, but the intonation of its hushed voice sounded male.
Positioned in the trees directly above the pair, Thaltos waited to see what was about to happen, before he'd take any action against the manlike figure. If he showed any evidence of preparing to hurt Asakai, Thaltos was ready to slay him quickly and cleanly. If he was careful, he might not even get any blood on Asakai... |
