What are friends, if not to be used for personal gain? ^_^

Yeah, I'm not sure if I could manage an 8piece set. I haven't looked at the Sets txt file, not sure how many slots it allows you. I'm pretty sure I could do at least 5 items though, possibly 6.

I'm thinking that since I'm really not able to actually play this game, not even to test stuff, I'll probably work off of my own txt files to make the new uniques and items and stuff, and then send the files to one of our alpha testers. They can wrap them into an MPQ and give it a whirl, to test out our items, and then once I've gotten everything fully written and debugged, I can just send over the item txts to the person managing the final product.

What I meantersay is, have a separate "submod" that is simply for testing items and such. I make each new item type or unique be in a particular monster's treasure class with a temporary level req of 1, so that a level 1 char in Blood Moor can have a damn good chance of getting the particular new item in question.

I may even make temporary "filler" treasure classes consisting only of the specific item in question, so that you have a 100% of getting the new Unique the first time you kill a Fallen in Blood Moor. I'm pretty sure that's not beyond my abilities.

Oh, and I also have a fairly decent idea of the way basic mechanics work...if there are any particular things that people decide they want to try to put into play, such as the "Custom shopkeeper" idea that was tossed around in the previous thread, I can try to help out with the "avenue of approach" to doing some of that stuff. I don't know the coding syntax or the proper inputs for the various variables, but I do pretty much know what would need to be done to accomplish that...like what fields to be edited and such.

What I'm saying is that I can serve as a bit of a knowledge box as well, just a helping brainstormer to work on the more "challenging" concepts that would make this a truly unique mod.
