| Various things, depending on how Warcraft III implements it. The most basic one is when it cannot complete the task so it returns to its last sensible state in its memory, which I believe is the first event that created it - which is its starting point. For example, if a region is just out of its movable area, or a spell attacks it and changes its action so it forgets its true action, but it cannot complete it. It's not an easy way to describe because sometimes it returns, but sometimes it just stops and stands.*
