| I think that the current generation needs to look into the future, into how they would like to be treated, and then apply this to how they treat their parents. They then must be conscious of the values that they instill into their children, in order that these children grow up to love and respect them. Herein lies the problem: the current generation is too caught up in living in the moment and not observing the ties that bind us all. We forget that someday we become old. We are too caught up in our fast moving lives to think about our ending days and how we'd like to be taken care of. Individualism breeds individualism, and it is fine if that is one's choice. However if it isn't then one must start instilling new values into one's offspring.
