Actualy they are raising the age of consent in Canada from 14 to 16.
Personaly I don't think you should even have sex until 20 or marriage, just because. But even if you are physicaly mature enough to do it at 14, doesn't mean you should. It is well known that during the age between 12 and 19 you are going through changes. Even if you have grown completely, and you beleive to have finished puberty, that isn't always the case. You chemicaly are constantly fluxuating, which is one reason teens like to moan about being depressed or misunderstood is becuase you are still maturing psychologicaly. So until you are at least 20 your decisions arn't always rational, and Teens generally don't stop to think of the bigger picture as many adults do. That is one reason why parents and teens don't always get along or agree because Teens see the world differently
