How exactly would starting a nuclear war be more beneficial? North Korea is invaded, then what? Nuclear weapons are going to hit South Korea, Japan, China, or another country. Even if you view the Iraq War as a complete waste, the cost of invading North Korea would be far greater, particularly in the civilian sector.
