| I rekon a system akin to L2 would work.
Fundamental Classes -
Warrior - Basic class that is base of Knight, Mercenary, Barbarian
Sage - Basic class for Druid, Paladin
Apprentice - Basic class for Mage, Necromancer, Sorcerer
Rogue - Baseic class for Assassin, Thief
Hunter - Basic class for Amazon, Ranger
Reasoning: The way I think this way is because a base class would provide some funadamental requirements for like classes. (eg an Assassin wouldnt be all that much different from a Theif except a thief can break open locked items and perhaps has better defence then an assassin would)
Knight - Excellent Sword and Shield style fighter with proficency in plate (plate armours dont degrade as fast with a knight)
Mercenary - Specialises in Dual Wielding swords and axes. His movements are quick and somewhat deceptive. Highly skilled technical fighter
Barbarian - A powerhouse. Slower attack speeds with high damage output. Movements are quicker with lighter armour
Druid - At one with nature. Can summon multiple creatures, can have a perminate small pet (hawk, rat something along those line NOT FOR DMG but for stat boosting - like an aura but for himself) Also power over elemental earth.
Paladin - Plate wearing mace warrior. Has the power of the divine within him. Able to heal teammates. Paladins specialise in mace combat (bonus to mace fighting)
Mage (Men Only) - Master of Elemental Air and and wielder of the Divine light. Mages can use the power of air to force enemies backwards, propel objects and pull items to themselves. Able to chock enemies by cutting off their air they also are skilled in divine attack spells
Necromancer - Master of decay, they can tap into the lifestream and prevent and reanimate the dead. Also able to bring inanimate objects to life in the forms of golems and curse the constitution of their foes
Sorcerer (sorceress) - Masters of Fire, Water and Lightning. They can bend these deadly forces to their will
Assassin (Women Only)- Telepathic attackers the fight from the shadow. Able to swiftly work against an enemy, they work well with hit and run tactics. Only assassins may use punch daggers and like weapons. They lay mechanical totems that attack enemies that draw near
Theif - A support class, excelles in the use Kamas, Kukuris and other exotic blades. The only class that can unlock chests without keys as well as disarm traps. They may lay poisonous traps and exploding traps that deal tremendous damage to those that stand on them.
Amazon - Excels with the Spear, Javalin and Bow. Her skill with these weapons are unparralleled.
Ranger - Excellent tracker and loremaster. Only class able to identify item without scrolls. His skill with a bow is masterful (though not as good as the amazon) his bow technique is completely different. An excellent swordsmen and at later levels can dual wield (swords and dagers only). Also able to lay traps, that snare the enemy into a certain spot, catch on fire or impale the monster. Can summon a combat pet (not permanent)
