| I believe it began with something about a war between heaven and hell, that spilled over into the mortal world. Diablo and his brothers (Mephisto, Baal) were kicked out of hell? and then they were all later imprisoned by some wizard dudes(Tal Rasha?) with the angel Tyreals help. However in the fight with Baal, the soul stone broke, so Tal Rasha agreed to contain Baal in himself with the shattered soul stone. He was locked away in the desert for eternity. Diablo's stone went to the king, where Diablo began corrupting the ppl around him. Finaly Mephisto's stone was in possession of those strange priests dudes in the Jungle.
When the shit fell together, Diablo had someone to take his soul stone below the catacombs in Tristram. Lazerous, the king's advisor kidnapped the kings son and brought him to Diablo. The king had gone mad becuse of Diablo. Rumors began about the evil below Tristram, so adventurers from all over came to see if they could get wealth and glory etc. One adventure made it down to the very depths of "hell". The kings son was dead, and he killed Lazerous. He found diablo and he beleived he killed him. But it was Diablo's plan all along. The adventurer shoved the Stone into his head, after being completely consumed by Diablo's influence. In a fight for his soul, the adventurer stayed in Tristram, but Diablo eventualy led him west, and as he headed west, strang and terrible things followed. Thus the people in Diablo II journey after Diablo, who is in the Guise of the original player of the game. |
