I thought sunlight just weakened them, and that it took a stake through the heart to kill them...
But I agree with you: the question depends on which versions of vampires and werewolves you're talking about, and even with that sorted there are still just too many variables (what if it takes place indoors vs. outdoors? weapons allowed or not? how much time are they allowed? and so on!)
