Scanning for possibly infected files, links that will help

I'm fairly new here so not sure if this needs to be posted here or not but I haven't seen anything like it as of yet. However while browsing around and with everything hunting for legit 1.11 mh etc many people are getting infected and/or wanting to check for infections within files.

Here is a short compilation of free online virus scanners along with the link to their websites. I will also put links to free antivirus programs or offers for free year of updates. And please people if you do not already have an anti-virus running on your computer seriously consider installing one, especially if you plan on trying to use any files downloaded from unknown sites. There are plenty of free alternatives which will work decently (e.g. AVG, Avast, AntiVir are all free)

ONLINE SCANNERS

Panda Antivirus

eTrust Antivirus

Trend (PCcillin)

Jotti online scan (single file scanner but scans with multiple programs)

Symantec Security Check

Kaspersky single file scanner

FREE ANTIVIRUS PROGRAMS

AVG Anti-virus
http://free.grisoft.com

Avast Anvivirus
http://www.avast.com

Antivir Anti-virus
http://www.freeav.com/

Bitdefender (free version is on demand only)
http://www.bitdefender.com/

eTrust Anti-virus 1 year free updates (they have this offer just about every year so it's easily renewed)

------------------------

FREE ANTI-TROJANS

Ewido (free version is on demand only)

A-squared

------------------------

I hope this at least helps some people out. If needed I also have a list of all the email addresses to submit suspected file samples to anti-virus vendors I can post that if anyone wishes. Again if this is in the wrong place or "not appropriate" for any way shape or form I apologize ahead of time.
