| As Naraku slid to the floor in the new white room, the top hatch began to click open. From it, Vergil jumped down the 14 feet and landed on one knee. He yelled up to Shivan mockingly.
"Don't be afraid. I'll catch you."
A foul word issued from the hatch above them, and Shivan dropped down beside Vergil, impacting a little harder, but nevertheless unhurt. Vergil made a mental note not to judge this elf by his cover.
