New Rule - regarding critiques etc.

Alrighty, I know people have differences in opinion concerning other people's artwork, but that doesn't mean you can't be respectful when critiquing it. There's two ways to do it, the good way and the spam way.

Quote:
This sucks you should die and burn your sigs
The above could've been like this:

Quote:
Okay, good start but I really don't like this, you used too manty filters and the colours don't go together, try using something else next time, there's alot of room for improvement.
See? It works better...I mean, if you bitch about how something you might as well tell them how to fix it ai?

Same thing goes for positive critiques.

It's cool.

Instead, you can have:

Quote:
It's better than last time, I like the texture effect, and the border doesn't look as bad as it did last time.
It's helpful. And less pointless. So I'd like you to keep these rules in mind. I don't want to become a Nazi mod but spam can get annyoing ai?

When giving critiques, make sure:

-you're polite
-you point out the good and the bad
-you tell them how to fix it

This forum is for sharing artwork, so we can help each other grow in our talents and technical abilities. Let's try and keep it that way. From now on, any of the posts such as the examples I mentioned above will be split from the thread. If the issue persists, you'll be issued a reminder and later a warning.

-This rule is in effect as of June 17th, 2005
