| Island maps are based around late-game strategies... that's just the way they are.
Good Terran players I've played against seem to like to harass you until you forget to expand. They'll keep bugging your main until they've got most of the map covered and your expansions destroyed. Usually (from what I've seen... I used to play on my own island map all the time), they'll harass with just about everything. I haven't played on Islands (or against people, for the matter) in quite some time, so based on what I remember, they'd hit me with tanks around my borders, they'd irradiate my workers, and they'd threaten me with nukes until I go insane.
As much as I hate to say it (because I'm horrible at it and it happens to me too often), harassment is the key to victory for Terran players on island maps. |
