Do you think you have map making skillz? Well here's your chance to show how much better you are than everyone else. Attached is a map which has
every aspect of it done.. except for terrain. The only thing you can change is the terrain, and you must make the map functional and within the briefing parameters. This means you cannot add locations, change player ownership, alter triggers, etc.
Additional rules:
1. You cannot change the elevation of any of the units already placed on the map.
2. You cannot remove the temple walls at the bottom left hand corner, or alter any of the terrain within them.
3. You cannot alter any terrain which removes any unit already placed on the map.
4. You have, in addition to altering terrain, the ability to use as many ramp doodads as you want (doodads which act as ramps from one elevation to another).
5. Your terrain alterations cannot cause any misplace errors within the first five seconds of the map (after five seconds it is perfectly fine).
The first person to add the necessary terrain to make the briefing true while following the above rules wins 200 Gil. When you save it, make sure you change the file name from "UMS Contest 2.scx" to your username, like mine would be "-Azrael666-.scx".
E-mail me your submission (you can have as many submissions as you want) as an attachment at
umsmapcontest@hotmail.com. After each one I will reply with a private message telling you what needs to be fixed still, and I will post here that you made a submission, although I won't actually attach your map (that way you aren't helping anyone else by submitting if there are things you need to change still).
As stated above, do not post your maps publicly, on this thread or otherwise, as it would encourage cheating. E-mail all submissions to me at
